You cut the wires in the PAC AOEM FRD24 and tie your speaker leads from the amp to where you cut. Make sure you tti into the wires going toward the speakers before the connection to the factory plug. This way you are not feeding back to the head unit. I did this with that adapter. I ran the RCAs from the pac to my 4 channel amp and then I used a 9-wire from the amp to the adapter which connects to the factory harness and feeds my speakers. From my 4 channel amp I ran RCAs to the mono amp (both Alpines).

Cool. I got it all set-up and lost no controls. I do however have some static/noise. Is this common with these units? I want to try and pin point the cause.

I ran RCA's and speaker wire down drivers side and power/remote on the passenger side. everything is soldered and heat shrunk together. I tied speaker wires from the amp out back to head unit to tap into factory front speaker wires. Rears are ran off the deck.

Sometimes you get a bad RCA. Unplug them one at a time to see if the static goes away.

Check the little gain screws on the PAC. Mine were set about half way from the factory, but you can adjust the levels on them, so they may be turned all the way down for one reason or another.

Aside from that, I'm not sure what else it could be.

After going back and reading the website it clearly says this thing doesnt work with the sony stereo so thats my fault. I ended up just buying a step down and utilized the speaker outputs that went to the factory subwoofer. Works like a charm.

Sorry all if this has been discussed and I missed it in all the other pages. I have a 2013 screw, sync, no nav. The head unit is the upgraded one that does not work with the PAC Ford specific. I just purchased a 5 channel amp that I want to have the 4 channels go to the front and rear and 5th channel to go to the sub. My question is... I know PAC makes a 4 channel unit but it seems to have very poor reviews compared to the 2 channel one. I want to be able keep the sync working so would it work to install 2 of the PAC SOEM T units instead of the 4 channel one? Is this a waste of time? Any better suggestions?

What amp did you buy? I'm considering the alpine ktp but I'm also considering a 5 channel to power a sub.
