Default Tweeter Placement Up Front in 2000 Reg. Cab?

I have been searching and reading and cannot find what I am looking for. I already have 3-way 6x8 JVC's but at low to mid volumes the only sound I hear seems like it is coming from the passenger side door so I am hoping some Rockford components will cure this. I really just want to find the best placement for the tweeters so that I get the best results. Ive read in the dash, door panels, sail pillar up front, and door panel opposite the mirror mount access. I dont want the one tweeter to overpower the other if I can help it. I know there is an audiophile here that has the answer Im looking for. Thank you in advance.

If they fit then put them in the sail pillar but I would also switch out the 3 ways and use components

That was the option I was leaning toward but I needed a little reinforcement as I have never run components before. They are Rockford Components. The 3ways will be moved to behind the seats for fill purposes.

I like sail panel placement myself. Components are definitely the way to go. Check out the jbl p660c components. Great speakers for around $150

Another piece of advice that I will give you is if you have a nice set of components up front you don't need speakers in the rear. I never run rear speakers in any of my systems. Especially in a regular cab rear speakers make no sense whatsoever

The crossovers usually go inside the door.
