The only thing I would caution you on with the Rockford is that its new. Just came out and it may have some early problems. If your serious, get the BitOne, its an awesome unit and proven. If you read up on the Rockford, there has been some issues with it.

Not trying to persuade you, but the H800 if a very capable unit if you have the time to tweak it. Generally, the more precise and technical the graphing/processing the more difficult the tuning can be. I realize the RUX's for the PXA's cost as much as a new recieiver, but you get what you pay for. I have had both the PXA H700/701 and the H800 and after a few days(~6-8hrs) of running diagnostics, I wouldn't trade either for the MS-8. Of course I have only heard and installed the MS-8 a few times. But it really comes down to; Trade-off of Time VS SQ. Any of these high-end DSP are very capable of producing competition sound if you have the time and the proper components to set them up.

I purchased the H800 well under cost, so I chose it over the bit-one(I dont get discounts on Audison). It's really hard to compare all these units. Some are geared more towards user friendly tweaking, others are much more detailed and complicated. But with time and experience all of them can create an acoustical "utopia".

The biggest issue for me was positioning the mic and the default settings for the LPF. I listen to quite a bit of Rock, so it was imperative my front and rear components hit the 65-80hz range. After a few hours of having fun with it, I finally started getting better graphs!

Don't forget, Fosgate has been offering DSPs for a long time. The 3.6.3 is just their continued evolution of the 3.6.2 which outside of a few short comings was a popular unit. Can't say there won't be issues but all DSPs have had them including the Alpine which was delayed 1 year I believe, the Bitone has gone through several revisions as well as the MS8. Cutting edge tech will never be perfect out of the gate.

Okay I calmed down. Ordered the RUX controller and will spend some time with this dsp. I'm not convinced it's summing properly. I have the JL cl-ssi. Any of you see issues with using that signal summing interface then running into the pxa-h800?

I have the Sony/Nav and don't really see an input chart that fits my setup.

You really need to take the JL out. The PXA will take care of all the summing/processing. It has 6 channel high-level inputs, so that shouldn't be too bad of fix(10 min).

The way the system sets right now; the JL is limiting your capabilities. The PXA will take care of all that.

I wouldn't think you need the ssi and I would recommend removing it if you can and going direct to the H800 and let it do the summing/reconstructing. Why have two devices doing the same thing if you don't have to.

Hey Joe I don't have the SSI installed, it's just an idea at this point.

Here are my outputs from the Sony factory amp:

front right tweeter
front left tweeter
front right mid
front left mid
rear right full
rear left full
center
left sub (DVC)
right sub (DVC)

Here is the input chart for the Alpine:

My question is which input chart should I use as none of them fit my scenario. On the JL SSI I would sum the front highs, front mids, and sub.
