I am growing frustrated with these processors.

Return it and try the 3sixty 2 or 3.

Or not.

I'm frustrated with my alpine hXE-h660. So my attitude about the processors is ****ty.

Honestly I can't see me keeping this. $700 plus another $250? Should be better, less expensive options. Disappointed in Alpine here.

Get the BitOne, so much better. Not sure on the Rockford. I paid like $650 for my BitOne. You can set and forget it.

If you want auto tune then get the JBL MS8 otherwise the Bitone is the way to go. I also wouldn't hesitate to buy the Fosgate 3sixty.3.

It seems these auto tunes are hit and miss on the Alpine and JBL.

I haven't heard many complaints about auto tune on the JBL and my Pioneer P99's built in DSP/auto tune did a pretty good job on its first run. I manually tune anyway so when shopping for a DSP the manual tuning capabilities and ease of use are my first requiirements. It seems alpine is the most problematic.

I read some stuff about the JBL on the DIY forum. Most issues seem to be with hiss and background noise.

I may wait and get the Rockford unit. The autotune (ImprintEQ) on the Alpine didn't impress me. I like the MS-8 too. At this point I am just tired of it all. I really regret getting factory NAV because otherwise a new head unit would do the trick. Problem now is I have installed and uninstalled three units, getting old, and until I can get something shipped I have no sound.

This is awesome....
