Default Truck Sound Setup

Hello all, I have a 03 supercrew fx4. when I get my income tax in I plan on buying 2 10" cvx dual voice coil 2ohm subwoofers.

http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...id/0/SFV/30046

also buying this box hooking them up in it

http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...id/0/SFV/30046

then to either a 1000.2 crunch or 1000.1 kicker amp, I own both these amps an will not be getting a new one for the cvx's. probably gonna go with the kicker cuz their usually underrated and it's a better amp than crunch. the kicker amp runs 1000watts @ 2ohms and the crunch runs 250watts x2 @ 4ohms, 500watts x2 @2ohms an 1000watts x1 @4ohms. here is the crunch amp

here is a pic I took of a chart that tells you what ohms you will get when you wire your subs in series an parellel circuits with 1 or 2 subs.

what I wanna know is how i should hook my subs up and to what amp? should I wire the cvx's together (in parallel circuit to get 2ohms) to one connector on my box then run the subs at 2ohms and run it off my kicker amp? or could I connect them to their own connector then just wire them both to the one channel amp, what that be the same thing as above, would that change my ohms? or should I connect each sub to each terminal connector an run them at 4 ohms off the crunch?

ive hooked up a good bit of car audio but they usually have their stuff already. but this is the part on car audio when I get confused lol ANY input at all is appreciated very much since i will be ordering everything within the next week or two.

I would run each subs coils in parallel to achieve 1ohm on each sub. Then run each sub to its own connector. Use a jumper wire to connect the two connectors in series with the Kicker amp for a total 2ohm load.

Honestly though, you could make things really simple with a pair of 500watt 4ohm svc subs in parallel to the kicker. Unless you r planning on competing, you won't be able to tell the difference.

alright I get everything up to running each sub to its own connector. what's a jumper wire and how do I connect them in series from their connectors? are you talking about just taking the positive from each connector an running it to the positive side on the amp an same for the negative?

You run a wire from the pos on the amp to the pos on one of the connectors. Then run a wire from the neg on that same connector to the pos on the other connector. Last run a wire from the neg on the 2nd connector to the neg on the amp...a series circuit
