Thoughts on audio components

Nice !
I don't think the seat will be an issue as far as height...but it will protrude out from the end of the seat some i believe being 15-3/8" wide, mine is notched around 11-11.5", my box is a little higher @ 5-3/4" high and the specs on your box are 5-1/8", the cloth does touch the grill but its fine, i can sit there no problem and it doesn't squash....the grill will stick up another 1.75" just like mine....just keep the sub away from the latch underneath the seat...
And it does sound great

I decided on the sub today. Went to a local audio shop, and they were able to fit a JL Audio CS110LG-TW3 under the back seat. The grill is in contact with the bottom of the seat, but it seemed to fit well and didn't push the seat up. They claim it should sound great, and no worse than it would if it were down firing. I actually decided on the CS112LG-TW3 instead which is a 12" sub. It has the same depth, but is just slightly longer. I think it might be more than what I need, but I'll have a sub **** from the amp mounted near my dash, so I can easily adjust it. Below is a link. Got it from an Ebay seller for $325.00 shipped! Hoping to have everything installed next weekend.

Just to clarify. You went to a local audio shop and got their opinion and recommendation and then went and bought the product from some guy off the internet... Disappointing..

Yes, for 1 very good reason. I was there to discuss having a complete new audio system installed and the person I spoke to at the audio shop didn't seem to have very much experience. It's primarily an accessories shop "lighting, lifts, etc", and I'm not sure they had done very much audio work even though they claim that they did. I decided to hold off on purchasing anything from them at that point. I didn't buy the 10" sub he recommended, I actually went with the 12" version. I eventually had another supposedly more reputable shop do the complete install, and I didn't like the way the sub sounded at all. I ended up buying a ported jl box with 2 8" subs, and they sound great! Oh, and I bought the new box at the local shop that performed my install. I own a small business myself, and I'm all about giving business to local companies when it makes sense to do so. 👍

Pienstar,
Not that you owed me a reply but THANKS! I am a small business owner as well and really drives me nuts when people come in and ask for advise and then go buy what I tell them they need from some guy who probably did not acquire the product legally or is OK selling for 2% over cost.
