And it does sound great
Awesome. Thank you for the info, and the heads up about the latch! Just got the tracking info for my sub, and it will be in next Wednesday. Going to see if I have can have the install done Thursday or Friday.

I actually decided on the CS112LG-TW3 instead which is a 12" sub. It has the same depth, but is just slightly longer. I think it might be more than what I need, but I'll have a sub **** from the amp mounted near my dash, so I can easily adjust it. Below is a link. Got it from an Ebay seller for $325.00 shipped! Hoping to have everything installed next weekend.

Just to clarify. You went to a local audio shop and got their opinion and recommendation and then went and bought the product from some guy off the internet... Disappointing..

Yes, for 1 very good reason. I was there to discuss having a complete new audio system installed and the person I spoke to at the audio shop didn't seem to have very much experience. It's primarily an accessories shop "lighting, lifts, etc", and I'm not sure they had done very much audio work even though they claim that they did. I decided to hold off on purchasing anything from them at that point. I didn't buy the 10" sub he recommended, I actually went with the 12" version. I eventually had another supposedly more reputable shop do the complete install, and I didn't like the way the sub sounded at all. I ended up buying a ported jl box with 2 8" subs, and they sound great! Oh, and I bought the new box at the local shop that performed my install. I own a small business myself, and I'm all about giving business to local companies when it makes sense to do so. 👍

Pienstar,

Not that you owed me a reply but THANKS! I am a small business owner as well and really drives me nuts when people come in and ask for advise and then go buy what I tell them they need from some guy who probably did not acquire the product legally or is OK selling for 2% over cost.

No worries! I own a type of business that gets "shopped" constantly so I know the feeling.
