Default These should work, right?

Alright, I am a complete noob when it comes to car audio, but I was just looking for a little upgrade over the stock speakers.

It seems these should fit all 4 doors of my Scab, and have gotten pretty decent reviews. I don't plan on adding a sub anytime soon (just got married, not a lot of fun money right now), but these should be an improvement over stocks, even without an amp, right?

Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 6832cf 6 x 8/5 x 7-Inch, 180-Watt High Performance 2-Way Loudspeaker (Pair): Car Electronics Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 6832cf 6 x 8/5 x 7-Inch, 180-Watt High Performance 2-Way Loudspeaker (Pair): Car Electronics

And with these, I should be able to just plug and play, right?

Amazon.com: Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Select Ford Vehicles: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Select Ford Vehicles: Car Electronics

Also, any advice in installing? I see some people using dynamat or some such. Would that be needed for just a speaker swap?

Those are what I installed in my truck. They're a little lacking when it comes to bass, but are otherwise excellent.

Is there another you would recommend with a little more bass? I haven't bought these yet, so I am still looking at other brands. Something around the same price 50-75 a pair.

This could be another option

Kicker 40CS684 6"x8" 2-way Car Speakers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BGRMHX4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_x7WJvbA0EYVWV

I have those in the back doors of my truck and they had much better bass than truck

Take people's advice in sound quality with a grain of salt though, ones idea of not enough or too much bass could be totally different from what you hear

I haven't heard the Infinity Kappa in the 6x8 yet, but I had them in 4x6 in my last truck and they were beyond amazing. The Reference speakers really are quite good, I'm already planning a subwoofer install, so the lack of bass isn't a big deal, the sound quality and the crisp and clear highs and mids from them will blow you away. My set of Kappas had all that and bass too.

The Infinity References do blow the stock speakers out of the water in every way though, we're talking being able to hear with crystal clarity instruments that the stock speakers kind of muffled into obscurity when listening to jazz or classical (I listen to EVERYTHING) kind of difference.

I put these
Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB571 5-by-7-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Black): Car Electronics Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB571 5-by-7-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Black): Car Electronics
in all 4 doors along with those Metra adapters, made a pretty good improvement, the Kicker sub I also purchased was the icing and cherry on top.

Your not going to find any more bass from a 6x8 speaker than what your going to get from those Kappas...your either going to have to add an amp to give give those nice speakers a little more punch or add a sub. I researched heavily when I replaced all 4 of mine with the Infinity Kappa 6x8. At the time I didn't find any that handled more rms power, low to high frequency range or had the sensitivity rating of the kappa speakers, the only thing close were the Polk 6x8.
