Default Need help on system

So I have a 2014 STX Supercrew. It has the base audio. I have four door speakers and 2 tweeters in the a pillar. I don't know too much about audio as I had a shop do my last truck. It had a pioneer hu, infinity reference and kappas. I don't remember which is better but the components were in front obviously. Then I had a stealth-box and all was powered by a jl audio 700/5 amp. I want something similar but with a sub that takes up less room. I really don't know much about these. So I need help. Thanks.

From my understanding, since you have the base system in your truck, it is rather simple for you to upgrade. You will need to get the correct aftermarket PAC harness and that will allow you the ability to add amplifiers/speakers and keep the stock headunit. I'm sure some other members will chime in and point you in the right direction. I would venture to say that if you spent a little time, you can probably find all the information you need! Consider yourself lucky you do not have the Sony/Nav System in your truck, much more difficult to modify.

God Luck!

From what I've read it will be easier for me. What I'm confused on it which plug in add on it better. I've seen a lot about the jl cleansweep but can't find anyone to respond to any questions.

With the base radio you have no need for the cleansweep. Use the PAC unit. Plug and play and provides 4 channels of RCA outs and a remote turn on wire. You are talking about the base stereo without the 4.2 inch screen, right?

I have the base radio even below the 4.2. Below is what I have. Picture of my exact truck.

The PAC unit should work for you.

Thank you. I'm still doing some research but haven't quite found what I'm looking for, are people keeping the stock tweeters or replacing them? Is there any that you know of that can fit behind the stock grille so it doesn't look like I have a sound system?

Was looking at these for the front: http://shop.mbquart.com/p/onyx-osc213?pp=24
then these in the back: http://shop.mbquart.com/p/onyx-okc168?pp=24 or these: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1086821...cf.html?tp=105

I had infinity in my 08 and they sounded great but when I was into VW those guys RAVED about the MB Quart so idk. Anyone have any ideas about either. I'm thinking maybe right now just to get better sound just doing speakers but again I don't know much about audio stuff.
