I actually did tap right off the amp for the power to the RE-Q. Do you think a distribution block would make a difference? As far as ground goes I've tried a different spot and the same spot for ground as the amp. No difference.

Now as long as the seat goes back on, all will be well. Amp is pretty tall (2.75") but from what I've seen here others have mounted bigger down low on the cab. I still need to do something with that blue thing hanging down to the left in the pics whatever it is, but, I'm waiting to put the felt backing on before I do that.

A couple of pics...

The Amp is a Cadence FXA 4100.

Sub Box is off of ebay. Alpine SWS 1023D Subwoofer.

Edit: Regarding seat fitting back, no problem getting the seat back on. Slipped right in. Just for future reference for someone else thinking about mounting an amp in the back, the amp is 18" x 11" x 2.75". I mounted it on 1/2" MDF low in the cab and it fit w/out any problems.
Could you take some pics of the box, i'll be building one en a few weeks and want to see some boxes before.

Thanks

Pulled the MTX Re-Q today. Put the LOC back in & I think I'll call it done. The music I listen to isn't incredibly bass heavy anyway. I think I'll just spend some time dialing the Amp in to my taste and leave it be. I have it pretty good right now but I want to live w/it for a few days.

Anyway, in the end I added the isimple sirius to my stock head unit in addition to the components and the Amp / Sub. So, pretty happy w/it. Stock look but definitely an improvement in sound.

Off topic, but, I put a coat of Meguiars NTX Wax on it this week too. We'll see how well it holds up... With my old F150 I just used Carnuba Turtle Wax and it didn't look 11 years old when I traded her.
