That's why I said, " Then once you get your component speakers put in the front doors and A posts, start all over again!" in the first reply.

I can't believe an installer of any quality would let a system leave his shop with a pop/hiss
I cant believe any installer at a real shop would do a $1500 upgrade and leave stock front speakers. Sounds like something Best Buy would do

Lots of shops don't want to take the time to set the system up properly. Takes lots of time and your average installer doesn't even know about setting an eq. You should be in your truck with the installer, listening to your own music, and guiding the installer to what your after. This way he can adjust as necessary, you can see if he knows what he is doing and gets you guys on the same page. Don't even bother setting anything up until you have your new front components installed. I always suggest focal k2p for front components.

Slowly working on tuning the new system with the Audio Control LCQ - big improvements. It is sounding much better, still lacking the warmth of mid bass.

I have my eye on the Infinity Kappa 60.11 components to go up front. Just waiting a bit to justify another couple hundred bucks. Also considering Focals for the front - but they have so many models it gets confusing

Jbl P660c. Being sold on clearance for around $130. They are 6.5s so youll have to make adapter plates (no big deal) and you better have at least 75w to throw at them but they are great speakers
