For the leds, I took power out of the radio adapter harness. I used some cheap waterproof 12v strips from eBay (4 for $6 or something like that), cut them to length, and painted them black to tone the lights down....they were WAY too bright without it.

On the amp rack, I didn't want to cut the rear padding, so I took off the padding, marked spots for my amps, and drilled two holes through the exterior sheetmetal for each amp. Popped out the air pressure vents, and then reached through the openings and pushed a 3" #10/24 bolt with a rubber washer on it into the cab from the outside and double nutted it on the inside. Reached out again and put silicone round the head of the bolt too. Then I put the padding back in place and pressed it against the bolts and made a small slice for the bolts to pop through. Pushed the padding completely back in place, set my amps over the bolts, and tightened them down and compressed the padding. Everything behind it is fine (no interference with my window motor).

I think it looks way cleaner this way. Just a personal preference, that's all.

Can you just pull power from the red wire or did you go off of another wire? I went ahead and bought a strip of leds today, I wanted to finish the deck install so I didn't install them yet but soon will.

Gotta go off an illumination wire or it would be on all the time when the truck is running
