Gotcha. What made you decide to do a ported box instead of sealed with these?

I want a SD-3 10" - I think it's the perfect sub for our under seat application. I'm also struggling to find a box though - I'm about to get out my saw.

I agree... I think it's pretty much perfect for our trucks. I'm still looking for a box, too. Well, I'm still looking for everything... lol Except I'm 95% sure I'm going to run ID CTX65s in the front, and maybe in the back doors, too. I'm planning on running two SD3 10s.

I was looking for more bommy punchy bass that hit hard played loud with out me blasting my music.... so ported tuned to 37 it was. very happy with that choice.

look up Cscstang, he built my box and answered every set-up question iv'e thrown at him. iv'e had my box for a few weeks and he still answers. lol the dude is old school. google him and tell him tommy from Jersey.

I sent him a message about a sealed box for two Sundown SD-3s. Thanks for the tip!

He responded to me as well... He proposed a SD-3 10" in a ported box as the bang for the buck solution. I was set on sealed, but was really leaning towards two 10's sealed. That solution gets pretty pricey though. I'm wondering if a single ported 10" would make me happy.

Hmm...

Oh and I ran ID CTX65s' in my last truck, they're nice.

I could definitely see that being a best bang for the buck. Maybe even an SA 10.

I'm going two 10s in a sealed because, well, that's what I've run the last 12 years... lol I prefer tight, controlled bass over louder, less accurate bass.

That's a great looking box. And his price was way lower than what I thought it was going to be.

I've got to figure out if I want to try to reuse my JL Audio 10W3s (first gen... still great subs... I've had them 12 years...) or spend the money and upgrade to some Sundowns. I'm not sure the price difference is worth it.
