Default Subwoofer rec

Ok, so here is my plan. I want to take a picture of stormsearch's box and plan to a local shop and have them build me a box exactly like his. See pics of his awesome setup below.

He used an awesome 12 inch sub, but I would like to put in a shallow mount 10. Any recommendations would be great. I already have a mono amp installed that puts out 275 watts RMS at 4 ohm and 550 watts RMS at 2 ohm. I would like to spend less than $200 on the sub, but if I can't get something good quality for that I would be open to spending a little more.

Also would be interested in hearing how much I should be paying to have the box built. Thanks for any help.

The box looks nice. I have never had one built but it will no doubt run you more than a pre-made one that will look close. JL subs are good and should be in that price range

I am going to build my own box and attempt to build storage on one side and sub box on other as I seen in another post here. I am strongly considering the Pioneer TS-SW2502S4. I have not heard this sub in person. I have found some good reviews and you can pick them up for about $100.00. I don't need to rattle my teeth, just looking for a little extra clean bass.

If anyone has any experience with this sub, please post.

I would search this forum for Pioneer sub. I know it has been discussed before. I actually had a single Kenwood 10 inch in my supercab and worked and sounded good.

I'm thinking about going with this shallow mount from Memphis:

The only this is this sub is rated at 250 RMS while my amp is 275 RMS. Will I run into problems here?

I have dual 8 e-series and very pleased with their output

I'm not sure if that one would fit.

It looks like Sundown does make some shallow mount subs, but they are rated for 500 RMS. Would my amp be too weak for that?

Not if you run it at 2ohms. You'll need a Dual 4ohm woofer to run it at 2ohms

No but why run a shallow mount if you don't need to?
