I have 1 Kicker 12 under my back seat on drivers side with one of those pre made boxes in Ext Cab . It is a lot louder than I expected and would go with a 10 if I did it again

Cleaner bass with a 10 inch speaker? That makes no sense what so ever. Its all about the clean power given to the speaker with no distortion. If your clipping your amplifier and its sending dirty power to that sub woofer then its going to sound like ****.

So you could have a 12in 250 watt rms sub with a clean 250 watts with no distortion and it will sound better than a 12in 250 watt rms sub with a dirty clipped signal of 250 watts going to it.
Its all about making sure your subwoofers rms and the amplifiers rms match up at the right ohm rating that you have it wired too. And that is with setting your gains correctly, if your head units preout volts is 2v, then you set your amp to a 2v gain. As simple as that.

There is also many guides on setting your gains up correctly. Just google search "setting amplifier gains". I'm sure you will find many guides.

Skip the W1s, super low power handling and efficiency. I wouldn't look at any shallows unless you have to.

What are you putting this in? In an 04-08 you should be able to get a decent box, two 10s, and an amp for around $500.
