Subwoofer help
Was wondering if any one knew about JL Audio subwoofers? specifically 10W1v2-4 also wondering about rockford fosgate P3 punch shallow mount 10". please let me know

go wit ten they will be a cleaner bass then 12s. plus if u r trying to pick i have 2 12 inch alpine type r wit rockford amp runing at 1 ohm i love the sound look at my pic i have them but i have a crew cap but i wish i would have put 10 but i love them

my setup costed 225 sub then 700 for the amp but i have a 4 channle for the doors and it was like 400 then my door speakers were like 250 for the front and the same for the back but if i was u i would defently go wit 10 they are so much better

So you could have a 12in 250 watt rms sub with a clean 250 watts with no distortion and it will sound better than a 12in 250 watt rms sub with a dirty clipped signal of 250 watts going to it.
Its all about making sure your subwoofers rms and the amplifiers rms match up at the right ohm rating that you have it wired too. And that is with setting your gains correctly, if your head units preout volts is 2v, then you set your amp to a 2v gain. As simple as that.
There is also many guides on setting your gains up correctly. Just google search "setting amplifier gains". I'm sure you will find many guides.

What are you putting this in? In an 04-08 you should be able to get a decent box, two 10s, and an amp for around $500.
