Default JL stealtbox

Wish I took some before installation pictures but you can always google "JL stealthbox" if you want more specs and pics. I love this box and setup because it sounds ****ing awesome and takes up minimal space while not affecting the seats functions and it matches the OEM carpet perfectly. If I don't tell people its in there they assume its OEM... well until I crank it up LOL. It was installed for like $1300 with everything, but the box (custom made by JL) and 13TW5v2-2 sub is like $800... I recommended this set-up

Thumbs up

JL stealth box looks good, shame the back mats need trimmed when adding a box.

Did the mats really need a trim, or did you do that because the Stealthbox might have slid around on the rubber mat?

Probably trimmed to remove the mat once the box was installed

the box is bolted to the floor ....I did not want the mat bolted to the floor too.....The sub hits hard so it needs to be bolted

Default How sweet the bump

I have been looking at the jl sub but was unsure how good it would be for normal sound levels. How would you compare your sub to dual 10's and how defined is the reproduction? I had two 15" with a soundstream amp and i am forever disappointed with every smaller sub i have hear.

U will love the jl. I've had two sound stream 15s, 3 jl w6 12s, and two kicker solo baric l7 10s, all sounded great. This 13.5" shallow mount jl is freaking amazing for one speaker. Went w a sundown 10, not enough. Got this jl and had custom box built bc I wanted more space under rear seat. I can't begin to tell you how amazing it sounds. Great lows and good punchy bass as well. As long as u have remote to adjust bass output, it will surpass your expectations.

any idea how they tied it into the factory system? Simple pac adapter or some kind of summing device?
