Default Subwoofer boxes

I have a kicker comp vr 12" dvc. And I have a hifonics 1000 watt classD amp. I'm about to get another 12" like the one I have. I am wondering if there is any ported boxes for 2 12" subs to go under the seat if my 2002 ford f 150 super crew cab. Any links or pictures are welcome!! Thanks

i wouldn't think you could build a ported box with enough air space to be worth a damn for to 12's and still fit under the seat

Wouldnt work. Ported boxes are normally larger than a sealed box for the same driver. Unless your willing to give up your rear seat then your only option is the sealed under seat boxes.

It can be done with some work. I was able to fit a box for 2-12" treo's @ 1.75 cu ft per spkr. I used a seat lift from LMI Welding. It took a lot to get every sq inch from under the seat, but it is possible.

This took me a couple of weekends to put together. I'll try and get some more pics of it on this thread.

Hey I'm lookig at getting that seat lift. Is there enough room for a 10" to be forward firing? Also do you think it's possible to get a box that has 2.8 airspace ported?

You should be able to fit 10s forward firing with a seat lift. Without a seat lift I was able to fit 8s forward firing in my brother's truck. The face was 8.5" tall.

With a seat lift I estimate about 2.6 gross adding to the measurements/calculations I have from building his box.... you should be able to get more if you get creative like nuthingoesrite did.

I know its hard to see, but I think you would be safe. The top mark is at 11 inches, so it would be close. I got my seat lift from LMI Welding, I think it was around $150 shipped. It wouldn't be too tough to make if you have a welder and some C channel, but I suck at welding and it comes from LMI powdercoated. Below is a link to some better pics that you can see a little better. Give me a few minutes and I will add some more pics that might be helpful.
