Only 150w but I think you could get a couple behind the seat for a little more bass. I would stick with one sub under the small rear seat. Still leaves lots of floor space.

I'm not sure how sharp your DIY skills are, but you could always build a fiberglass box, molded into the rear wall just like people do into the sides of hatchbacks or SUVs. It's messy, smelly, takes time and research, but it could probably be done. Fiberglass is very strong when it's not in flat panels, so you save a lot of airspace in the enclosure compared to using 3/4" MDF or ply.

I did one of these behind the seat, didn't need to remove insulation.

It depends on what you're looking for. I think there is not enough airspace for good subs behind the seats without a ton of customizing.

Are you looking for crazy amounts of bass or something to fill out the lows for most music? If looking for the fill this will fit the bill. It does a really good job for the price and ease of install. On all but the lowest lows it is a huge improvement.

I've seen people put two of these in the rear but one shakes my mirrors and it vibrates the passenger sitting there.

I agree with going with a compact powered sub, I don't have the one posted above, but I have a Rockville Rw8ca mated to my existing Sony system and the little thing pumps. I have it mounted behind the rear seat wall on the driver side, perfect fit. The Sony sub is out performed by the Rockville, but I have them both connected and tuned perfectly.

I just installed the Rockville box today but I'm not getting any power to it. I wired it correctly, as far as I know. Off to a audio shop tomorrow to have them look at it.

Hmmm, I have my power running from the amp to the battery, grounded right behind the seat. Originally I had the remote wire to fuse 38 (passenger side fuse box) with add a fuse going directly to the amp, but I recently added the LC2i.

I was getting bass roll off with the cheap LOC I was using. So, now the remote wire goes to the LC2i and I tapped the power and ground for the LC2i to the Rockville's power and ground.

So, if you're not using a powered LOC, then the remote goes straight from the amp to fuse 38. DO NOT use the High signal for auto power on. I've had bad experiences with this kind of feature. You'd have to raise the volume way up almost to full for the auto feature to kick on.

If you are using the remote and everything checks out, make sure the auto on feature is off on the sub.

I just wanted to add that you will experience bass roll at about mid way volume. My powered sub would almost turn all the way down the higher the volume got.

So, if you're thinking of getting any powered sub or amp, I highly recommend getting a LC2i ($74), It's a powered LOC with a special rolloff delete feature. After I added the LC2i, the rockville sounded extremely powerefull, no more bass roll off at high volume, this little thing thumps!

I also added the Kicker CS68 to all four doors. The speakers made a significant improvement over the stock sonys. All together, a great sound improvement for a very reasonable budget.
