I have 2 kicker 12 inch shallow mounts with the downfire box, kenwood 1000 watt amp and one of the latest Pioneer head units(one with the bluetooth) and have not been able to turn it all the way up without loss of hearing! I would recomend this style setup for many reasons, mostly for space. overseat ported boxes get pretty big! can make other trucks shake in traffic!!!!

Good luck however you gowith it.

CMF150: The truck were talking about is a 00-03 Ex Cab. 12's are not a good option for this truck.

Here are some pics of the enclosure.

The final design is as you see. It has 6.6" of mounting depth, .72 cubic feet x 2, 1.5" of floor clearance.
The seats go all the way down and lock in place. The box is designed to seal against the floor across the front and vent all of the bass towards each rear corner. This lengthens the sound wave length and makes the bass deeper.
They are now on my website for $150 w/ shipping in the 48 states.
With 6.6" of mounting depth subs like JL 10w3, Kicker CVX10, Punch P3 10 and the new Alpine Type R10 will fit with no problem
