Default sub instalation

Hey everyone I just bought a 10 inch dual sub today and was wondering how to install it into my 2013 f150 stx? I have never installed any audio equitment. What is the best way to install it? What wires do I need to buy? Thanks

My, that's a broad question. Do you have an amp? Do you have the 4 inch screen in the dash or the basic stereo?

I have the simple radio. I don't have a screen. And the amp is built into the sub.

I mounted my amp behind my rear seat. This way I loose none of my floor space when I fold the seats up.

How should I wire the amp to the existing sounds system. It has the original sync system still in it.

You use this
http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...uctId=548&Cate
It doesn't list the 2013 as compatible, but as long as you have the base radio it will work

It probably has high level inputs, which are speaker wires. Tap off your rear speaker wires. You can find the speaker wires under the door sill. It may have an auto turn on. If it doesn't then you will have to run a turn on 12V wire from fuse #36 in the fuse box. You will have to run a ground wire from the 12V ground on the amp to a seat frame bolt or some other good ground. You will have to a heavier wire like 4 gauge or so from the battery to the amp. You need to put a fuse in that line near your battery. You can buy an amp install kit that will supply all the wire. You can get a lot of info on this forum by searching including where and how to run the battery wire thru the firewall. If you are in doubt you can do all this then take it to a stereo shop to do it.
