They are 300W rms and 600W peek.

Did you go by the stereo shop that sold the subs after you installed everything and let them listen to it? There are a ton of variables that make a night and day difference from head unit settings, amp crossover points, and bass boost frequency.
One of the most common problems that people run into these days are head units with built in crossovers and amps with crossovers. Only use one of them or else you will create a bandpass effect.
The kicker 600 is just a starter amp and you WILL need more power to get the full potential from those subs.
