Sub Box

Sub Box
Hey Guys,
Just finished installing my new system and now I need to figure out what I am going to do with my sub. I have a JL 12W6v2 sitting on the floor in the back but I need to build a new box under the seat.
Here's the question...how much space in under the seat in a s-cab with a LMI 2.5" lift? the JL depth is 6.65" + .75" for the voice coil vent, so I will need at least 7.4" just for the sub. Plus the thickness of the box etc.
So can anyone who has the LMI lift give me some front and back measurements of how much space is under the seat?
If I can't fit the W6, I will probably get a 13TW5 or an Apline SWR-T12, but I would much rather use the W6.
Thanks guys!

With his fiberglass caps to extend magnet room, Fox Acoustics get's a 6 1/8" depth on their dual 10 box. I would think with the 2.5" lift, you'd be okay with 7.4" if you used a similiar cap. No cap and I think you'd be pushing it.

Cool, thats what I was hoping to hear. I guess I will just go ahead and order the LMI Kit and see how it goes.
I planned on doing a box something like this...

Now I need to decide if I want Down Firing or Up Firing.
Any opinions?

I always felt like down firing offered more protection for the subs since you can build in a set amount of gap for the woofer to fire. I'd be afraid if a "big" guy sat in the back seat, you may end up having the woofer contact the seat bottom.
