Sub bass question
I know this a very amateur question but I got my stealth box hooked up at an audio store and it sounded great. I had to bring my truck in about a week later because my sub would cut off once in a while. The shop fixed the problem and said there was a loose wire internally in the box. Since I got my truck back it does not sound as loud as when I first got it and I have to turn the volume all the way up to get the satisfaction of the BASS.
Can I turn up the subs amp (thats he gain right?) and how much can I turn it up. JL custom made the box and the amp is JL too and is the proper amp for that sub. Any advice and sorry for the amateur question I just don't want to blow the woofer.

If this is the shallow mount 13" sub, its rated at 100-600 watts. However, the sub has an impedance of 3ohms. Your amp is stable down to, 2ohms which is fine. The resistance with max gain should put you quite a ways under the 600 mark.
Thus, turning up the gain should be fine... Assuming your LPF is set up right. What is it set on currently?
Also, I am hoping this is a sealed enclosure?
