Default Stock Radio - Sirius

My 2010 STX has the buttons for Sirius XM radio but it's not installed. How difficult/expensive a task would it be to get that added on, or would I be better off replacing the stock radio all together?

My wife has the same problem with her '12 Fiesta-- has the button for Sirius, but no actual unit for it. You're better off to just go with aftermarket from what the dealer had told me before. For how much you would pay for the unit and cost to install, and still just have a stock radio, you could do a decent upgrade.

If you want to go less expensive just buy a XM/Sirius portable tuner and car kit.

I'm sure the dealer costs for a new Sirius module is ridiculous, but they do pop up on ebay.

My truck came with Sirius, but Sirius wasn't offered in my fiance's 06 Mustang. I found an OEM '06 F150 Sirius module w/ harness on Ebay for ~$100 and bought an aftermarket magnetic Sirius antenna from amazon for ~$10.

Took about an hour to fully install, most of it because I had to pull the Mustang's console to access the dash and the space behind the head unit is tight. Probably would take 15 minutes in an F150 since the dash just pops off. Works like stock.

Looking at the '10s, your Sirius module may be built into your head unit. If that's the case, you should be able to just pick a Sirius compatible one up on ebay, and get a compatible antenna (I think the GPS antenna does both). Sell the headunit you pull out on craigslist/ebay, and you should just be out a few bucks.
