Default Stock radio question

First order, I'm new to this forum so hi all!

I drive a bare bones 2010 F150 with a stock AM/FM radio I want to upgrade.

Today I picked up two cheap stock Ford 6 CD changers from a dealership garage sale ($10 each, BC39-19C157-BF and AL1T 18C815-JC). They have virtually identical features, plug connectors and front panels displays. Fortunately the AL1T worked fine when I installed it. The BC39, however, didn't work at all. It flashes the time for a few seconds then goes blank. It could be a dud but a little googling revealed that the BC39 has SAT and was factory to 2011-2012 FORD F250 F350.

My question is could a later stock HU unit work in my F150 2010?

First time I have ever heard that the cd changer had SAT in it....Will a newer radio fit. IDK. I do know it would have to be programmed by the dealership.
