Stereo Upgrade
Hi, my husband just bought a 2016 Ford F-150 sport. He is not thrilled with the quality of sound with the stereo. I would like to get him something for Christmas. Any suggestions and rough price quotes? Can I just get away with just getting him new speakers? Thanks

I have a 2016 F-150 and can't find an after market stereo anywhere. You can upgrade the speakers reasonably cheap. Go to Crutchfield.com. They are great to deal with. The Ford stereo doesn't have many watts per channel and their techs will steer you in the right direction.

Skippy, I reccomend adding a aftermarket sub, and amp 1st. Also you can also add a aftermarket amp, plus upgrade the door speakers, if your hubbies truck doesnt have the Sony stereo.
I dunno what trim level he has, or if he already has the factory sony stereo, as you dont mention.
1. Whats your budget.
2. What cab style do you have? ( Regular Cab, Super Cab, Super Crew)
3. How many speakers in the truck, is it a Sony stereo?
4. Trim Level? Ie, XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch?
