I was looking on crutchfield and was wondering what are the differences in the kenwood 890 891 and 892? All of them have the features that I'm looking for but what sets them apart from each other?

890 is the 2013 model, 891 is for 2014, and 892 is 2015...

Most current, being 892 has the most current features and functions...

892 is the only one thatll display time & date in the 2 line display. 892 will show Am/FM station logo, and Album Art.

Todd, when you installed your HU did the brackets allow you to flush your HU to the bezel? It looks like yours is flush whereas mine sets further back and there is a little gap.

I'm thinking I'm going to pull brackets and modify them so the head unit comes out a bit more.

Yes sir, Shawn.... Sits nice & flush.. The one thing I Hated about the Metra bezel, was that stupid indention trim piece. Made the sexy kenwood, look so outta place before....

The sides and top are now Flush, the bottom protrudes, maybe 1/4"! But, thats the design of the Kenwood.... I followed the limited instructions included with the Scosche, the best I could! I guess Ijust got lucky, it worked out...

1st pic of the Metra bezel, then Scosche....

No problem.... I now enjoy showing off my Kenwood, vs. The old stock thing of a hu...

Heres one of where I mounted my GPS antenna, on top of the 2-line display housing. So its out of Sight! And another showing off the 892 and the Scosche bezel....

Did you have stock HU with satellite? Nit that it's a big deal but you can pull the yellow adapter off the end of the roof mounted antennae and it will plug right up to the XM receiver. I just tossed my magnetic me in a drawer.
