Default Stereo help for a novice

I have a 2005 F150 FTX and I recently installed an aftermarket cd deck. I cannot get the factory powered sub to come back on. Is the sub powered from a different wire harness than the main? This is my first install of anything of this kind and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, there is a second 8-pin harness for the sub.

You also need the thing that eliminates the turn on thump for the sub. Looks like a resistor...
