Default Stereo Help!

Hey,
I have a 2005 F150 Lariat and put a pioneer deck in it today, everything works but the sub . It is the stock one that comes with the truck. I bought the adapter for the sub and it had two extra blue wires thats i wasent sure what to do with so i taped them off, i think this may be the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Your sub is not turning on. Use one or both of the blue wires on the sub adapter to the blue/white on the pioneer

You will also need a resistor or else your sub will pop when it turns on due to 12v being supplied to the sub when it turns on, the audiophile sub only requires 5v to turn on or else it will pop with anything over that
