I was thinking the same thing as far as letting a stereo shop do it unless you want to drive it to Florida and let me do it....lol

thats just one place that i dont have any knowledge about, i can do speakers and a cd player when all i have to do is take out the factory and put in the aftermarket, and when its a short distance to run the wires, like in my cutty i took out the factory dash speakers, and cut holes in my door panel to put in some 6.5" pioneers

Hello, I m new to the forum.

I would like to know if anyone has installed an aftermarket stereo (hed unit) and still have it wired to the steering wheel for full functionality?

Welcome Nikita!!

I've done MANY aftemarket radios and to keep the functionality of the steering wheel controls you'll have to get a separate wiring harness unless it's included with the cd player that you're buying.
