I fixed it as well by going to fuse #23 however now when I have auto start/stop enabled and the engine cuts off, when it cuts back on the speakers turn off for about 2 seconds and then turn back on. Does anyone else have this issue and if so is there a fix?

I stumbled across this old thread detailing the exact problem I have currently. I have speaker level inputs going to a sub/amp combo that cause this thumping problem when I open the door. The speaker level inputs turn on the amp automatically, and I presume the speakers turn on as soon as the truck is accessed for chimes. Has anyone been able to actually solve this issue? Why are the speakers turning on and sending this pulsing signal to the amp to begin with?

Other information to note, I am using the front left and right speaker for signal to the sub/amp.

Very similar, mine doesn't seem to care if I remote start it or not though but I would love to see what changes you made that helped.

Mine does the same thing like a horse galloping. However, it only happens after I start it and then shut it off then open the door. My amp does not shut off immediately. It takes several minutes to turn off. Why it takes that long to turn off, I don't know. I imagine it has to do with the 'power sensing signal' to power it up. The Dayton 408 and my JL powered sub also use this feature but, they turn off almost immediately so I don't think they contribute to this issue.

Are you using the WPT1212 plug or the FOR-11CK harness?

I'm using the FOR-11CK harness. Line in using RCA connections, line out to speakers are 'bare wire' connections. As of now, with the Dayton 408, it is set in between the HU and the amp so the line in connections previously connected to the amp go to the line in on the 408 and from the 408 out go back to the line in on the amp. I will not be using the 'Forscan solution' to correct this issue. I will try to use other means, whatever that may be, to shut down the amp sooner, within in 30 seconds which will stop the 'rumble' coming from the speakers when opening the door. Remember, this only happens after starting the truck and powering up the audio system specifically, the amp.

You have more complexity between your HU and amp this is the only reason you don't have the sound when you initially open the doors (Headunit and Speakers are turned on when the doors open). Your setup just isn't as instantaneous. If what I believe is happening is actually happening (and I'll be able to test this more when I have time to fix my own) the real solution is going to be the forscan changes.

Alternatively you will need an actual remote wire. If the speakers and amps were turning on and off with ignition and not speakers most of these thumping issues would be alleviated because the amp would be off when these erroneous signals are being sent.

To recap: the line level signal is on too early (when the door is opened) and turned off late (minutes after you exit the vehicle). The solution is to isolate what the thumping sound is and why the truck is sending it (It looks likely that it is sending some sort of signal for chimes through the audio system and this is why the forscan changes worked).
