In all reality, cost wise, you'll probably do better going aftermarket.
I don't have the audophile system, so that's out. S331? I am going to get a GPS head unit, probably a Pioneer or a Kenwood... Just looking for a good bumpin sub for a decent price.

I'd ignore any amazon reviews. If you're definitely going to go coaxials, just do 6x8s. I'd recommend bumping up to components though.

I don't remember what CDT's they are. I bought them a while ago....Loganberry told me they were good. Maybe I just need to hook an amp up to them...

You could use ebay item 180375649089 , just pull the amp power off of what you already have for your sub amp.

I'm thinking I'll spend anywhere from $500 - $1000 on a head unit, and maybe $200 - $400 on the subwoofer, since it's important to me. The cheaper I can get a good sub though, the better. I definitely am not just looking to throw money around. The bank still owns most of my pickup.

You can pick up a prefab box for a single 10 on ebay for around $50 or so.

Look at the older style Infinity Reference 1052W or a Dayton HO 10 for around $100. Both are good sound quality subs for the money, the reference will be the louder of the two given the same power, you can feed the Dayton about twice as much though.

And a decent used amp on ebay that puts out around 300-500W RMS for around $100.

but with most components it seems you have to run an external amp instead of off the head unit and i dont want to do that.

Just check out the sensitivity rating when your comparing them. You can find plenty of components in the same range as coaxials (90dbs+). Nothing says you have to amplify anything.
