Default Speaker Problem

i put a deck in today. i put a cd in. speakers dont work. my subs pound and it says the title on the screen but it doesnt have any sound. i plugged the stock deck back in and the speakers work fine. what could be the problem? the wiring harness i have has 4 different plugs and mine only uses 2 of them. would that have something to do with it?
thanks

if its premium sound 03 or older it may have a factory external amp .
so you will need to wire up the blue wire amp turn on.

look for a blue wire or a blue wire with a white stripe that is your remote turn on wire.

i went and looked real quick. it is dark so i could have missed it. the wire would be on the power plug in(long narrow one) right? i couldnt find a blue with white stripe? when i read the first reply i spliced into the blue wire on the power plug but that didnt work.

Best bet would be to take it to your local audio shop and have them take a look.
