If it fits and you have 2-3 inches of clearance around the cone and the port it will sound fine. I actually thought I posted this earlier but the post must not have gone through. If you use it make sure it is mounted down somehow. The last thing you need in an accident is a 40 pound speaker box flying around the cab

Thank you. I am raising my seat an extra inch just to be safe.

And to the previous poster who said I am just going to do it my way, that's not what I intended. I just wanted someone to explain why a box that looks the same and fits won't work. But when people say "just get this or this", that may be true. I just like to understand things is all.

The boxes may look similar, but the supercab box is made specifically to fit your truck.

The box will "work" just fine.

As it's not made for your specific style of truck there may be some extra effort required to make sure it doesn't rattle around and get damaged if you happen upon a bumpy road or hidden pothole. Worst case is it becomes a projectile in an accident.

Just make sure you secure it so it doesn't move around.

I have an older version of that sub. Basically the same dimensions. It fits perfectly under the rear seat in my Screw. I would think it should work on the scab. I did not have to raise my seats. It is a nice sub and fills the cab with plenty of tight sounding bass. Use a mono block amp with at least 300 to 400 RMS to drive it. Mount the amp to the back wall behind the seats. Plenty of room toward the bottom. It is not as hard as it seems. Crutchfield has some good instructions online for installing amps and audio equipment. Good luck.

I'm not trying to be a D-Bag, and I'm pretty sure that's how this is gonna come out, so sorry in advance if that's how you take it.

If you are serious about your initial questions and you don't have anyone physically there to help or teach you how to do this, I would suggest for you to not do it yourself and to pay to have it done.
There are way to many things that could go wrong in the install, and if you don't know what you are doing it may turn your nice truck into an expensive campfire. Let alone setting up the system so it sounds good, and that you don't ruin your equipment.

Pay the money so you don't have to worry about it - My 2 cents.

While I agree to an extent, everyone has to learn somehow. I install some pretty nice setups, and Im completely self-taught AND learned well before the internet was available to go to for help. How is a person ever to learn if they dont try it?

You are a D-bag but then again so am I. Learning by yourself is one thing but using incorrect parts even after you have gotten advice not to is another thing. Altering your truck to make sure your incorrect parts fit when the correct ones are available is another thing but to each their own. It could be an expensive way to learn.

Once again sorry if that was Douch-y but asking if you can hook up a 1000 watt amp to any "nearby available power" is just asking for trouble. God forbid the poor man install it directly off the battery with no fuse (or wrong size).
I was blessed to have had someone to help teach me how to install before the internet became widespread, and I've tried to help out everyone that's ever asked me.
I also have no problem with a little trial and error, however I'm not gonna recommend someone to go install new supercharger with only internet knowledge to back them up either.

Well at least we both know where we stand.
