Do you have the Molex connectors at the doors?

Depending on which plant your truck was made in, instead of regular grommets going from the door to the kick panel, some (like mine unfortunately) have what are call molex connectors which are actual contact connectors with a plastic locking system.

Unfortunately you have two choices. Carefully try to drill out the molex connector's empty slots and try to run the wire through it. Or create a second conduit (like you can see in the above picture) Make sure that the kickpanel side hole is higher than the door hole if you do it (you don't want water getting in the truck)

That pic was from someone else's truck. I would have done it opposite the way he did (kickpanel side on top and door side on bottom)

I just drilled mine and put a hole just below and to the side of the molex on the kick.
Then I cut a hole in the bottom of the grommet.

p.s. it made it much easier to drill by taking the door off. It's only 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

The pic is of my truck. I was told I did it incorrectly in terms of having the hole into the cab being located lower than the hole at the door. While I agree with that theory, I wanted to report than one year later, I have not a drop of moisture inside the cab from my install. I choice my point of entry, based on what I saw as the easiest place to entry...not on water. I just was not thinking water at the time. So I am glad it turned out well for me.

Thanks to everyone for always having a different take on things and helping others out.
