Default Speaker Advice

I found some Kicker 6x8's (11ds68) that I was thinking about putting in my SCREW. I am not looking for a hard hitting system just an improvement over stock and since I'm about to replace a broken side mirror I thought this would be as good of time as any. Just curious if anyone has any advice or opinions with this type of speaker or something comparable ($50 or less a pair). Also, I was trying to figure out how much power the factory head unit puts out. These speakers are up to 70 watts so just wanted to make sure the factory head unit could push them.

Thanks.

Just noticed it changed the part number to a cool smiley. The part number is 11ds68.

I used them in mine and they were great for the price. Then I added a sub for the low end and had a great little system for the money. Factory HU had no problem with the Kickers

Any idea how much power the factory head puts out? I'm also considering the Infinity 6832cf for a little more.

I read somewhere on here that the stock system puts out 2ohms but id like to have that confirmed as well.
a lot of people upgraded their amps with aftermarket speakers, and if its true that its a 2ohm then id have to do the same if i wanted to upgrade speakers.

Running 4 ohm speakers on a 2 ohm radio won't hurt a thing

awesome! Im totally new to the whole speaker thing and I always just assumed that it was bad for speakers to be over or underpowered. putting new door speakers in just got a lot cheaper! haha

Go with infinity speakers as they have a higher sensitivity which is great when using stock HU power.
