Keep everything above 80hz from going to sub-woofer.....
yea im gonna go try to diconnect the battery and let it sit for a bit. then see. I just re did the connections. everything looked good. I actually did have it hooked up wrong the first time, so when I just looked at it i plugged it into the right place. but it was still showing a fault.

Well frick, battery disconnect didn't work. I guess ill have to open the dash once more and check my connections. I found where the Sirius antenna runs to behind the glove box. there is another connector there.....if I need to get a new cable it wouldn't be hard to replace.....maybe I damaged the connector somehow....ill just have to find where I can get the cable.

Did a little more work today, but still waiting on my cleansweep so im at a standstill.
I used the Infinity Kappas 6x8s (682.9CF) in all 4 speakers and a 8"JL subwoofer (CP108LG-W3v3). However, i believe eventually I'll put some components up front. My leg against the arm rest on the driver door blocks some tweeter sound. Very faint but noticeable to me. I set my freq on front and rear to about 85 to 90. Set the sub cutoff at about the same. Sounds pretty good but still tweaking. I listen to a lot of country and 80s rock. Instead of cleansweep i used an audiocontrol lc6i. I think you'll be happy with your cleansweep. I might end up setting the sub cutoff a little lower. Like i said, I'm still tweaking...

Hi Blackknight87, looking forward to seeing more video this morning.... I would really encourage you to set your rear speakers to 200hz and above, they are not designed for full travel and 80hz will cause them to bottom out. To many times bottoming out and that will kill the voice coil... Just a word of caution... Your front crossovers will protect the mids and tweets up there.... Just good advice from a guy thats installed one or two.On days when I had to much time on my hands in the shop I would test mismatched speakers and blow them out, just to see what I could do...

So blacknight, you ran the speaker wire for your front speakers through the top of the door instead of the bottom? I wonder how hard this would be on an 04.

yea, it wasnt bad at all actually. The weather stripping is pretty easy to pull off and then there is a nice void inside for the speaker wire to fit. then put the weather strip back up and holds the wire in.

not sure about ur 04, but i would say try pulling down the weather strip and see if there is room behind.

Super fail tonight.

Got my cleansweep, hooked up all my connections....nothing worked. No power. my amp has a green light on it that should light up when it has power. no light.

im so fvcking mad right now i cant even explain

*edit*

Where should my remote wire be getting power from? I have it connected to the metra harness that was labled "remote" is there an alternate spot?

For test purpose just run a wire from amp main power to amp turn on to see if that helps...
