So far im liking the MS8. I am hearing sounds in songs i never heard before. its amazing what a little bit of signal processing can do.
Unusual that you needed to trim the door panel. I had no problem using 1/2" MDF adapters for my front 6.5" speakers. Can even use the factory speaker screw holes for zero mods if that is how you want your install.

I tried to get everything to line up nice, but it just didn't work out.

I cheated. When I started I bought a pair of 5x7 to 6.5 adapters that are cnc machined from abs plastic. While they aren't as stong as I would like I have a perfect template to use.

Just made another set of 5/8 mdf baffles for a pair of HAT Legatia L6 7 inch mids. Took less than an hour with a jig saw. Waiting for the paint to dry took longer than the tracing and cutting.

Yup. Blew the passenger mid while playing around with the gain and HPF. Bass Cannon claims another speaker.

Kinda worked out though. I have been wanting to give HAT a try.

Blacknight, how did you like the db5251 speakers now that everything is working? I got the polk MM571 in front and their ok but could not handle as much as the db571 in the back so I am thinking about ordering the db5251 and wanted your opinion on yours.

Thanks..Richard
