Default Sound Ordnance Returned...

Started out with two of these units and it was pretty decent as stated in my other post. Due to the other amp additions I had to ditch one B-8PT leaving me with the one. I just have too much door speaker now for it to keep up. So sent the second one back as well.

Went this route...

Came in today and I already had the Alpine MRP-500 (500x1) ready for it. So far - holy sh*t. I'm impressed. Fits under the seat perfectly and at 30 pounds I can pop the speaker wire from it and throw it to the side if I need my floor space.

That looks sweet!

I too returned my 2 Sound Ordnance speakers. Trying to figure out what I want now.

They make these in a single 8 or dual. The single has a 4 ohm load at 250 watts, the dual is 2 ohm at 500 watts. So I figured my Alpine mono block would power either so why not roll with two? Last night I tweaked my EQ and gain a little and it keeps sounding better. Don't let the ports concern you either - tight and clean sound.

Audiocontrol LCQ-1 has signal sensing and creates a remote output. That's what I am using.

Thinking of picking up the Alpine MRX-M50 and 2 12"DVC Bazooka tubes and run them at 1ohm. I used to love Bazookas in my high school days.

I just got the Mrx-M50 and a prefabbed single 12 bandpass. Gonna flip up the driver side back seat and put it there. I rarely put more than one person back there. Got it from Crutchfield, so if I don't like it, return and try again! LOL
