That was my confusion. I thought you laid them flat on the floor which I couldn't figure out. So you stood them up against the back wall?

They will sound better within a week or so. After a few day I had to retune the settings because the sound had changed. All that for the better of course. Just when I play a song and think "gosh I could have tens or twelves under my seat", I remind myself that I have NOTHING under my seat!

Enjoy friend.

Yea - behind (sorry - I could have been clearer).

The only 'movement' I see is them tipping forward/backward with acceleration/braking, so I will likely just put some foam 'fill' at the top of each to 'wedge' them in place.

I'm really glad I didn't have to drill or cut ANYWHERE...but my fingers did get a little bloody from all of the sharp sheet metal!!! Seems like things are 'sharper' now than the last time I did this...or my skin is a little 'softer'... :-)

I also mounted the bass control on the dash just like you did - I buggered up the diode plastic 'ring' a little bit (cosmetic) - I could replace it later, but it's only noticeable to me...

Good stuff...

Glad you like them. I have been very pleased with mine. I used some straps to secure mine. Worked well. Very little movement.

I installed mine the other day and tried the high level inputs tapped into the rear speakers and it will not power on. I do not have another remote wire hooked up. It works if I switch to rem lead and do a jumper from (+) to rem power terminal. They are sending a new unit thinking maybe something was wrong with this one.

Isn't this correct that with the high level inputs, no remote would be necessary?

Yes but keep in mind there is a switch on the controls side. One is for use remote wire turn on and the other is for high level turn on.

Switch was in correct position and still will not power on. Maybe I got a bad unit?

Got the new unit today and same thing. Ended up having to run a remote wire separate with the high level inputs. It will turn on with the auto function without the remote wire, but you have to turn it up high for it to register when tapped into the rear speakers.

Now works flawlessly just need to work on getting it tuned. Pleased thus far!
