Sound Ordnance B-8PT's?

Mudweiser -
You might want to look at this thread, specifically users txtravis' and Viin comments/install.
Also, within the above thread is a link to this thread by user etazeta which is TWO of the B-8PTs.
I'm going to do the latter (dual) in 2011 Lariat (no Sony/no Nav) - about to pull the trigger and order from Crutchfield...
**whoops! - I see etazeta is already in this thread...disregard! :-)**

TomMcCray, Thanks, I will also be ordering from Crutchfield it is located in my home town of Charlottesville VA and when I am down there on the 15th of march to get my windows tinted I will probably stop by and check out some products. I am still not real sure what speakers I will be going with.

Ordered B-PT's x 2 and the LC2I...
Should be here next week, install next weekend...
Need to figure out color codes/where to tap in to the rear speakers to route in to the LC21 - I figure that info is on these boards somewhere...

Use this wiring code.
https://www.f150forum.com/f30/2011-f...r-code-107284/
For my 2012 everything was dead on accurate accept for the tweeters. They changed those wire colors. Run the four sub wires into the lc2i and then output to the powered subs.
One other thing, the subs each come with a bass ****. You CAN NOT get a phone jack splitter and control both subs with one ****. So your options will be:
1. Install two bass ***** (they are a little obnoxious)
2. Set it and forget it, no ***** (my music variety didn't allow for that)
3. Get the ACR-1 remote for the lc2i (one ****, perfect solution for me)
I did this EXACT install with great success. I visit this forum daily so hit me up if you have questions. You're gonna enjoy this setup.
Peace!

Thanks etazeta - I bought the ACR-1 so I could have an easy (and single) bass adjust via the LC2i...
I'm stoked that I won't give up the area under the seat - I've changed out the fronts, need to do the back.
I'm pleased with the mids/highs, but just need some 'punch'/fill for the low end since the cavity is so big...

Note - I don't have the Sony/Nav/Sub - presumably the color code is the same? (I can just pull rear speakers to double check I guess).
I'll worry about it more once I get the material in....

I got all excited until I realized they "required signature" so I had to drive over to UPS and wait for my delivery guy to finish his route. Lost 3 hours on my install. Just a heads up!

I took the day off, and notified the wife! I'll be ready...
I haven't installed ANY kind of equipment (serious equipment) since 1995 - I had a Pathfinder with 4000 watts of RF punch amps, 2x12" RF subs, 4x 4x6 plates, 4x 5 1/14" coaxials, and 4x flat tweeters...at the time, it was state of the art with a Sony CD head unit...and a fancy-a** 'remote control' so I didn't have to reach all the way up to the head unit to adjust volume, skip a track...I was stylin'....
Of course, I'm much older now, and I just want to have some 'punch' when I listen to 2112...

All installed, mostly tuned...sounds great so far, will see after a week or so of break in...
I didn't cut the insulation on the back wall; just velcro'ed the the sub box to the floor (plenty of room).
Will likely get some foam or something to keep the sub boxes from moving forward....or not....
