Hey guys, I just ordered one of these subs. I have a 2012 Supercrew witht the standard head unit and sync. I'm planning to either mount behind the rear seat or under the passenger seat. I would prefer the under seat option as it would be easier to adjust etc., any idea if it will fit under there on the '12?
Can you explain in a little more detail (pictures perhaps) where you tapped into the rear speakers (I assume both R & L)? Color codes would be great as well, although I'll also be swapping out my stock components for infinity reference at the same time so I'm sure I'll see the colors then.
Very cool - My 04 lariat came with a sub in a similar enclosure and I love it. Just enough bass to add dimension to my music and completely out of the way.
What year is your bike? is that a RSVR? I have an '01 Mille R…I live in Denver and I don't think I've ever seen another aprilia other than in the showrooms...

Thanks in advance!
Got one from crutch field with their free wiring kit. Took it to the geek squad cuz car audio wiring drives me nuts. It's literally hidden under passenger seat unless you stick your head down there looking for it from the rear passenger side. Sounds good, I just have to replace my door speakers now to round the sound out.
You would be better off using the PAC FRD-24 and running RCAs to the amp instead of tapping the speaker leads.
Too late, already tapped them (both sides). Got mine all in today and oh what a difference! I also swapped out the door speakers for infinity reference 6x8's.
That PAC unit was tempting, but I was a bit concerned given that they didn't recommend using them on '11 and '12 models (I even contacted their tech support). Anyway, it's all the same really... just pulling signal from the speaker leads one way or another.
If I were going to add an amp for the components I would probably have gotten the PAC unit anyway, or a real sound processor... but my new 6x8's are pretty solid. Positaps were alot cheaper then the $40 or so for the PAC anyway, I'm happy. I spent a total of about $325 and about 3 ~ 4 hours work.
Oh, run the remote wire. Don't trust the "autosense" feature... mine woudn't work unless the volume was at least 1/4.
I had two of these and it sounded awesome. Upgraded some other things and had to return one due to space constraints. Not near as impressed with the one...
