Are you trying to fit the box under the rear seat? I have a 97 twin to your truck and there isn't much room under the seat, just looks like the box is taller than the space under the seat.

Whats the budget for speakers and amp? and its my guess you whats lots of thump, for the hiphop and rap. Once I know what speakers I can run some calc's on the box and port sizing and you may be able to keep that box.

The problem with ported boxes they need to be bigger, and if you are trying to fit this under the seat then you may have to stay with a sealed box.

Yeah I forgot to mention I was aiming for under the seat. And I have a rear seat lifter that makes it fit. And my budget is a grey area, I'm looking for the best deal for the money type thing.

We'll try this way to, your box dimensions are better suited for a pair of 12's have a look at these. The Craigs list stuff is not that good a deal

I have just one of the level 2 10" from DC Sound Lab and it is awesome, have it wired down to 2 ohm on a JL 250/1 amp, I couldn't see needing more. You should be able to get a great price on them and they will blow a comparably priced JL or Rockford or whatever out of the water...

Well I'm getting closer to buying some subs but still havent made any decisions on what to do. I was wondering what the cotton(I think) does that's in the box now and does it need to be in there?

The "cotton" is what is called Poly Fill, it's normally used for stuffing pillows. It is used to simulate a larger box for your subwoofer (it affects wave characteristics inside the box), and will normally improve subwoofer output quality.

So since the box's airspace is 1.3 I believe which I have been told is too big for most 10's this makes 10in subs an option for me to use?
