If it has an input for a remote, I would use it. You could temporarily run one from about any 12V source to see if that is what it needs. I ran mine from the Acc-delay circuit. It is what makes the radio run until you open the door.

Well my loc is not getting power at all until I put at a really high volume. What would cause this? Everything was working fine until I i stalled the ktp-445u.

Is your LOC powered? What kind is it?

Yes it is an audio control lc2i.

Check all your connections. Volume shouldn't make a difference

Everything was working fine before I installed the alpine ktp-445u. Seems like the loc can't find a signal or power until I turn the hu all the way up.

Well the LOC should be before the amp. Is that the way you have it wired?

I have the loc wired to the rear speakers In the back under the side kick panels.
