Default seeking stations on the radio

My radio does not stop on any channels when I seek for channels. It just keeps going around 2 or 3 times then stops on the channel I have started from.

Stock or Aftermarket radio? Check your antenna connections

Not sure if yours is the same, but my 2010 XLT basic system with Sync does the same thing. When I push a seek button, the Sync display shows "ROCK" on the bottom line, and it searches for stations that label themselves "ROCK" with the Radio Data Broadcasting System (RDBS). You can change the type of station you seek, although I can't remember how at this moment. Check your owners manual and/or your Sync manual to find out how to change it. Not sure if you can disable that feature.

Default seeking

Stock radio, I have channels programmed in and I can change channels fine. I just can't get the seek to find any channels.
