so ive noticed this thread has pretty much turned into a DC thread. ha well i'm looking to uprade my system and was considering some 12"W3 or CVX 12" subs but this thread got me looking into the DC's. they look real nice. i read that for some level 4's they need to be ported. how hard is it to port a box cuz i built my own sealed box for under my backseat with about 3 cubic feet of airspace for 2 12's with about 7.5 inch mount depth if i remember correct. would you recommend the level 3's or 4's. i want it to be really loud.

yes the level fours must be ported, its not hard to build a ported box, just a few more pieces and a good bit more math involved, ported boxes are generally twice the size of sealed though, you cant fit a level 4 with that mounting depth, also with a 7.5 inch munting depth you would only have room for a 6 inch subwoofer max, level 2's will give you a nice punch sound all day, the level 3 is stronger than the level 2 so it will take more power, but 2 lvl 2's wouldbe louder than 1 lvl 3 due to double the cone area
