Rockford 1683s and ???
I put Rockford 1683s in all 4 doors. My right side now sounds louder, I have an Alpine 445 4 channel amp coming. Will this correct this or am I just hearing things?? For rock and country all sound good. Should I have went to two ways in back? Thanks.

I have RF 1682's all around. Much better than stock. Is your head unit stock or aftermarket? Did you use stock wiring? Wondering if there's a higher resistance splice somewhere (different gauge wire, cold solder joint, or some connection problem introducing resistance, hence lower volume on that speaker).

I did not use the correct size coupler from the supplied harness, dug out one that would fit, crimped and slid on to speaker input. Wonder if I should solder them all on? Figured out that crutchfiled offers a kit for the RFs after I all ready order the amp.

What you're likely experiencing is horrible sound staging because the speakers are so far down in the door. I hear it as well. In my case all I have to do is move my left leg over and it stops blocking some of the sound from my drivers door speakers. Very annoying. I'm thinking of going with a component set of speakers for up front and placing the tweeter up higher where it should be...that should fix it.

I have 4 rockfords p1683 through a kenwood 4 channel amp. Sounds awesome. I think what was said above could be your issue, your leg blocking the sound. Maybe adjust the balance more to the left speakers.
