the rockford punch series speaks would be a lot nicer than the prime series ones. i had the pioneers in a past vehicle and to be honest for the price are very well balanced speakers.

For $100 you can find a decent set of components which will outperform those coaxials.

These have good reviews for the price: http://www.woofersetc.com/p7929/RSD6...ker-System.htm

You can make a 6 1/2" to 6x8 adapter or buy them online for 5-10 bucks.

I'd save and do the low end first, otherwise, I'd just get front components (don't buy from Crutchfield without price checking the model number on google shopping) and buy a decent used two channel amp for them.

Those Kickers have pretty low power handling, in case you end up amping them in the future. Out of the rest, the Polks should be the loudest on the stock head unit (Pioneers in the middle, RF's the quietest) based on sensivity. The pioneers should have the lowest frequency response.

so just to get the best of both worlds, I would assume go with the Polks? I'd rather have bass over being super loud, and i kindove doubt i would amp them anytime soon, maybe get a new head unit if it would make a difference.

I have Polk 6.5s in my boat that I bought from Best Buy that should be very similar to what you are looking at. I can only say they are awesome, and have enough low handling to be annoying when all my lures start rattling furiously. They are loud and sound very crisp, and I was impressed with their power handling abilities. I can't speak for the other two speakers you are looking at, but I know you can't go wrong with the Polks. They have some good base and rival and old set of Pioneer 6X9s I have in boxes. Since you're sixteen and listen to all rap, you're not going to get the base you want out of any of these speakers anyways. You'll need a 12 to make you happy.
