I had replaced everything in my XLT with Arc Audio amps, and Polk Audio door Speakers and a Polk audio 10" sub, and that truck rocked. But that was my company (my company) truck. But I traded my 11 XLT Scab any 09 Lariat F250 Screw in for a 12 KR Screw and hate the system.

My buddy bought a used 11screw 2days after I did, and looking at his truck last week we found 2amps behind the back seat, I put my sub in his truck and it worked and he left w my sub, doubt I will get it back now.

But hearing his made me hate mine more. But I see a lot of post about JL audio, and I have never heard them, I wonder how they compare to Polk. I'm just looking for some guidance on what diff people did w the Sony Nav crap system.

on websites like crutchfield , sonicelectronix etc they will only accept good reviews. they wont have somebody talking bad about their products they are trying to sell. there are so many different , better options you could get for at least half of what they are asking. and its $700 on crutchfield. if you want to spend that kind of money on a measely 200 watts, go for it

jl audio makes excellent products for sound quality but are overpriced. polk makes great budget gear. the arc audio amps are solid as well

this would be a great match and its only around $190-195 and all you would need is a box if you dont already have one and a wiring kit. if you purchase from sonicelectronix they will give you a discount on a amp wiring kit if you purchase the amp from them

I think the appeal from the Kicker set up is its plug and play, no wiring kits to run or an amp to mount. Not to mention it takes the spot of the stock sub so your keeping maximum space back there.....which means a lot for those like me who actually use all that space...some of these other setups that are inexpensive also require you to go buy an amp (yes you would get a better than 200 watt one) and a wiring kit....Crutchfield may only allow good reviews but there is still someone out there that paid the money, installed it and was happy with it - and noted that it was noticeably louder than the stock sub....which is what everyone is looking for; the only Con in the whole setup is that the damn thing is $700.

I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet but like others not cutting into a $50,000 dollar trucks upolhstry is a big plus to me. Also keeping the stock look lets me hide it from the wife.
