Default Replacement speaker question

I have a 2010 STX Super Cab with the stock head unit and speakers. I would like to replace the stock muddy sounding speakers. I have been looking at Kenwood KFC-c6882ie 6x8 3 ways. They have a 92db sensitivity rating, 25 to 25k frequency response, and will run on 2 to 60 watts nominal. They also have a rubber suround.

Any opinions on this? I am going to have to stick with the stock head unit for a while so I thought a low power high sensitivity speaker would be best. Am I wrong on this. Thanks for any input.

You got it right, you want a 92 and up sensitivity rating, I dont believe the power affects anything. I am about to order some Infinity 6832-CF's for all 4 doors. Right now if you order two pair from crutchfield they throw in a decent 2way JVC amp, a guy could run the fronts off the amp via speaker level inputs and just leave the rears for fill. And if at some point you wanted to replace the FREE 2 way JVC amp with a 4way or 5 way, that portion of wiring is already done.

You should be fine with most coaxials off the head unit, you're on the right track checking sensitivity, the higher the better..

If you haven't already, check out sonicelectronix.com and woofersetc.com for good deals.
