Remote turn-on wire

Remote turn-on wire
I'm adding (in order of sequence) a processor->sub amp->4-channel amp to my truck. Keeping the factory head unit and factory amp as I have the nav and premium sound package.
Question: Should I use the blue wire from the head unit as my remote turn-on for the processor or tap the fuse box (#38) and use an add-a-circuit instead?
I thought I read something about the head unit remote turn-on only being 5V, but I could be mistaken.

Will I hear a speaker pop with a relay or does that eliminate it?
And I'm tapping the factory amp turn-on between the head unit and Sony amp? (factory amp is now under center console)

Add a resistor and you'll avoid speaker pop. (Apparently. i've never done this. Shop in town told me to do it. I didn't install it as I figured out that my processor is auto-sensing, so no Remote needed.)
what processor r u using?

If I can find a used JBL MS-8 for under $350, I'll go that route.

Otherwise, I'll be going with the Audiocontrol LCQ-1.
